Bootyful Darren

There was a funny moment when Haverfordwest entertained Ammanford in division three west and Darren Salmon showed what a powerful right boot he has got.

Ammanford had found touch on the far side and the ball had flown over the trees so the referee signalled for a new one, which was promptly kicked onto the pitch by a member of the Blues' coaching staff, who had better remain nameless since it was an awful example of how to boot a rugby ball, which lay in no-man's land between the teams and it was obvious that the visitors had no intention of going to get it.

So Haverfordwest full back Darren Salmon, gentleman that he is, trotted 35 metres, picked the ball up and kicked it to the touchline, only to overdo the power so that it sailed over the other players' heads and landed out of reach in the trees.

The moment was enjoyed by the Blues' old faithful crowd up on the bank and play eventually restarted when both balls were recovered.
