Children enjoy a great day of festival rugby
 |
| Aberaeron. |
The fourth annual tag team rugby tournament for under-eight players was held at the Pembroke Dock Harlequins ground recently.
A day of rugby was played in front of large and appreciative crowds. Aberaeron and Tenby United reached the final, to be played on county finals day. Twenty teams from 14 clubs attended and were organised into four groups, where all the teams played each other on a round-robin basis. The best two from each section then played in the quarter-finals.
This feast of rugby, organised by Ken Davies, Helen Rogers and the Quins' committee, meant that everyone who took part had plenty of action as all District H teams were playing, with the exception of Milford Haven and Aberystwyth.
Ken Davies said: "It was a fantastic day and Pembroke Dock Quins as a club should be very proud of the way they organised the event. Helen Rogers, Kim Norkett, the parents and the youngsters really had a day to remember."
